Decomposers

Decomposers are very important to the ecosystem as the producers and consumers. They are at the very top of the food chain. They also break down dead plants, animals, and waste of other animals. Decomposers include fungi, earth worms, mushroom, and etc. When they finish breaking down their dead matter, they leave behind carbon dioxide and nutrients.
